Your email address is the email you used when you applied for the KRA PIN. It is also the one KRA used to send your PIN certificate.
Sometimes, with changing terms of service by email providers, it may be difficult to recover your email address or even passwords especially if you forgot to add your number or memorable security questions.
What happens in such a case? Well, there is no easy solution for this, the only solution is to forget about that email and create a new one.
It is possible to retrieve your iTax password on the KRA portal. But what about if you can’t remember the email address you used to sign up with? What are you going to do?
Don’t worry, KRA has made it possible for you to retrieve and even change your email address if you’ve totally forgotten about it.
How to change your email address on KRA iTax
To retrieve your PIN certificate, you need to have a scanned copy of your original National ID card. Here is how to retrieve your PIN certificate.
Option 1 via Email
- Create a new email address from either Gmail or Yahoo mail
- login to your new email account and compose a new mail to callcentre@kra.go.ke with the subject “CHANGE EMAIL“
- In the message body section, give the reason you require to change the email address and provide your KRA PIN number in order to speed up the process of changing your email address
- Remember also to attach the scanned copy of your National ID card before sending the mail.
